The Book of Strange New Things

Author: Michel Faber

Read by Josh Cohen

This book had a great premise. A missionary goes to a newly settled-by-earthans planet to bring Christianity to the native extra-terrestrials. The good things about the book end there. It was very long and almost nothing happened. The main character, the missionary, faced no real issues. Seriously, he's bringing Christianity to a new planet and to an previously unstudied life form and nothing happened. I kept waiting for this book to take a sudden turn and pick up and then, let me repeat, nothing happened. I know there are people out there who will disagree with me and find this book to their liking, but it was not for me.
